What VIDEO GAME(s) have you been playing?
This is presumably still in the tutorial section lol. It’s all downhill from here.
So far I’d say it’s not bad.

Just make sure that you don’t park your horse on a railroad track if you leave to watch the movie. Poor bastard didn’t even try to move, just took it like a champ.

I was about ten minutes into GTA III when I noted the impressive equipment available to the local constabulary. Tanks! Who knew!SaMoKo wrote: Was gifted Red Dead Redemption 2. I’m burning through horses faster than bullets and my bounty has reached the point it will never go away.

THIS EXCEPT ALL GAMES.Wildlands is a cool game that desperately needs a "please turn off all dialog and radio chatter" button
I played DIABLO before, guys. I am aware of the whole Deckard thing.

This reminded me of the custom Vigilante mission I came up with for GTA: Vice City. People talked about using the helicopter to complete Vigilante missions, but that's for cowards and the weak-willed.
Here's how you play Vigilante the hardcore way:
First, ditch all your guns except for the MP5 and go to Prawn Island (I had to look all this shit up, it's been so long...) to get the minigun from the construction site. Then, go to Little Havana and get the Cheetah undercover police car from behind the police station. Now you're ready to start the Vigilante missions. The minigun chews through the Vigilante targets instantly and the Cheetah is the only cop car you can repaint, so once you take care of the targets and the police response (you'll have 2-3 stars at this point), find the nearest body shop to get it repainted and lose your Wanted level.
Your biggest challenge at first will be time as it can be tricky to get ahead of the targets' motorcade so you can eliminate them quickly. The biggest threat to your run, however, will be the random police spawns. I got sick of getting caught flat-footed as I tried to switch guns so I ditched everything except the MP5 and used that for my cop killer (wait, that doesn't sound good...). I've had multiple runs ended by a cop spawning near my car and arresting me, so you have to take time to make sure the area around your Cheetah is clear before you get in. You might also have to occasionally go to Prawn Island to get more minigun ammo, if you play long enough.
I got well over level 100 where the Vigilante mission reward was maxed out at $500K and I had over 90 min. of time banked from the time left over from previous missions. I also discovered that a minigun can shoot down a police helicopter if you shoot it long enough.
I picked up Hitman 2 a couple weeks ago and it's pretty good. They added a new cover mechanic - with visual indicator - where you can be completely hidden in vegetation or, even more fun, in a crowd if you're standing close to several people. The level locations continue to be varied and interesting: the tutorial level is a beach house, the first level is a street race in Miami, and the level after that is a drug cartel's compound in Columbia. I was hoping that the Columbia level would be a remastered and rebalanced version of "Say Hello to My Little Friend" from the very first Hitman, but it appears to be very good in its own right.
I keep screwing myself by taking the fibre wire on missions instead of the lockpick, but old habits die hard and I think the wire is more stylish than a pedestrian neck break. Besides, I love getting the "Piano Man" achievement when I garrote a target.

Played it for a lot of yesterday and it's defied my expectations in a couple ways, few of them positive. The first three worlds have consisted of aimlessly wandering around way-too-open areas and stumbling into collectables. The controls are actually pretty good, but they're good to the point where you can sequence break pretty easily. Normally I'm fine with this if the game allows for it (Metroid for example) but YL seems to think that it's far more linear than it actually is, so on several occasions I found my way into a spot I couldn't do anything at and had to either give up or exit to the hub just to continue.
But by FAR the most bizarre, offputting thing is the writing. You know how Banjo-Kazooie had most of the characters be goofy and loveable, then had Kazooie being snarky and 4th-wall-breaky to keep you on your toes? In YL everyone is a bootleg Kazooie cranked up to full on jackass. I hate every character in this game. The "heroes" do things like strand an injured character in a hazardous area after getting their collectable, make fun of the old man minecart for being elderly and lonely, and just be unpleasant in general to everyone they meet. It's played for laughs but it just isn't funny. There's a surprising amount of crude/sexual humor for a game with an E10 rating. I'm honestly surprised I never heard a reviewer bring this up - it's seriously jarring. At this point I should just skip all the dialog, but you need it to even remotely know what to do.
Blarg.

One thing that would be nice, and is not there, is some sort of codex that would let me peruse rules, etc. The first time you encounter something new, a servo skull gives you a little tip dialog. Then, it seems like that knowledge is gone forever unless you can remember it.

Totally hooked on POE. Every couple of months they change the gameplay and offer a new way to play (optional) kinda beta testing new ideas with the players. Mucho fun. Enjoy the story and the super expansive skill tree. The key to fun play is to use the NET to find a good build with tips for play etc Make sure you have a filter for the loot as 99% of dropped stuff is no use for you but you need to know when you've stumbled across true gold.
I have dropped a few bucks their way to allow me to customise my stash (basically get it organised). I hugely prefer this game to Diablo. Who doesn't love the option to go through a really extensive dungeon (Labyrinths) on Iron Man (no option). You die, you have to start again. You win, you are showered with glory and a specialist skill path opens on the skill tree just for you.
I learned to use trusted sources for a build after a bit of a glass cannon fiasco. I didn't really do my homework well enough. Since then, I've had no problems. Gone through all 10 levels and then the game opens up quite considerably as you start exploring maps that eventually lead to super bosses (they kind of give clues as to where he is). The game opening up bit is going through 10 really long acts of lore and gameplay but TOTALLY worth it.
There is no going through the entire game again on 'harder mode', which I fucking hate, but there are hundreds of endgame options and bosses to fight.
I have no problem with limited loot as it is pretty easy to teleport back to stash and dump it BUT get a loot filter.
Constant updates and new gameplay options keep this game fresh.
Oh yeah.....IT'S FREE
Refreshing lack of US accents helps (as it is a NZ based company). Nice change.
Not sure what is meant by 'opaque skill trees'. Every node is visible and every effect on the character is available before you choose the node. Online, there are even virtual skill trees where you can choose routes and check the overall effect. Respec points are dropped but I have never used them as the builds I use are solid
