Started Spider-Man Noir on Prime, or whatever the actual name might be. Good show! I never read any of the comics but enjoyed Cage's performance in Into the Spiderverse, and I'm glad it turned into this being made.

I am four episodes in, and really enjoy Spider-man Noir. It started out a little rough and Cage's performance was too restrained, but each episode keeps getting better and better. Are you watching it in color or black-and-white? I tried black-and-white first, but really came to love the use of color.

Euphoria ended well, and the final episode included a surprising swipe from the best short story of Ambrose Bierce. It was a remarkable show that featured detailed character origin stories and shocking plot twists. Cast member Angus Cloud died of a drug overdose after season two, which was ironic for a cautionary show about drug addiction. By coincidence, he bore a strong resemblance to musician Mac Miller, who died a few years earlier at a similar age and of a similar mixture of fentanyl and cocaine. His death cast a long shadow over the story of season three.

Finished Spider-Noir yesterday. Good show, and I hope they make more. I watched it all in black & white except for one episode that I watched on a different television and could not see how to change it.

Currently watching anime. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and Shangri-La Frontier. Both entertaining, although I'm not a fan of the new villain in Slime. She's too overly confident with her ability that Rimuru has already shown he can completely counteract easily.

Completely forgot about Spider Noir. I'll start watching that tonight.

Edit: Watched several episodes last night. It's really, really good. However, Nic Cage is definitely looking old. He's only five years older than me and he's looking rough.

Yeah, I am liking pretty much everything about Spider-Noir except Cage. I think he's just too old to pull off a convincing action hero. His stunt doubles don't even look anything like him, even with the mask.

Also he has his mouth open a quarter of the way constantly. I don't know if that's him trying to look world-weary and cynical, but I can't unsee it.

If you don't like Cage's over the top acting, I don't know how you could find that show even watchable. I love the way he always goes to the max. People can say he's a bad actor, but they can't say he doesn't give it everything he's got.

Also, if you haven't seen it, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is a truly phenomenal film. Cage at his best, and Pedro Pascal!

Uff. I always assumed that Nicholas Cage was several years older than me, starting with my first viewing of Valley Girl in 1982. But it turns out that Cage is less than two full years older than me. He is definitely not aging as well as I am.

I don't know what he looks like if you pass him on the street, but it's also very possible that he was made to look old and haggard on the show.

Hell, Brad Pitt has a movie coming out that makes him look like shit. He does not look like shit.
