Hi everyone! I really want to find this episode and the tv show it belonged to. It is probably an old English or American Horror tv show. It might be black and white, but I am not completely sure. It is definitely from before 2000, most like 90s or 80s tv show. I vaguely remember the opening and it is really similar to the twilight zone. Each of the episodes had a separate short plot. They weren't connected. It might have had an elevator in the opening of the show. (something like this
i.pinimg.com/originals/d9/9a/25/d99a256f...87a92d842a6d4446.jpg )

But I do remember the story of one of the episodes.
A new neighbour comes to town. He is misterious and scary. A girl and other characters meet him. And the characters start disappearing. It turns out that the guy is eating their hearts or something. And then I believe they tried to kill the guy. But when they pierced his heart, they realised he won't die because every time he eats a human he gets his heart. So he had several hearts in his body.

It had so much impact on me as a kid and yet I can't remember the name of the show.

I would be grateful if someone knows the details of it! :D

I really gave all the details I knew about it and hope it's possible to find it haha. Thanks

Outer Limits probably. It's gone through multiple runs at different times, including one during the 60s.

They revived it during the 90s. The first episode, The Sandkings, scared the hell out of me when I was pretty young. Think that's based on an old George R.R. Martin short story.

I would guess it is either Outer Limits or Tales from the Darkside (I am watching all of these right now -- through the first two seasons, there hasn't been anything like what you described).

did anyone click on the guy's link?

but yeah, sounds like Outer Limits. Reminds me of the Alyssa Milano episode where having sex with her kills you.

But what a way to go.

Can we disable the link? (I didn't click on it.)

I threw it into google image search. It's an old wrought iron elevator, and it does indeed ring a bell. I just don't remember what the name of the show was.

wasn't that from the Friday the 13th Tv show? Man that show used to scare the heck out of me, but it was all around artifacts which doesn't make sense with the heart thing I think.

My concern was just whether it might be a malicious link. Admittedly, the OP's query was super specific and perfectly targeted, so I probably just jumped the gun based on the combination of new poster and numeric username.

There are a perhaps surprisingly high number of SF/horror anthologies from the 80s and 90s. The one that leapt to mind for me was ABC's The Darkroom, which scared the crap out of me in 1980 or 81, but while that has a credit sequence involving a camera moving through an empty house, I didn't see an elevator there. (The eps are on YouTube.) It was also an hour and had two stories per episode, so almost certainly not it.

Thanks everyone for trying to figure out the episode. I will try to look through your suggestions but it still doesnt ring a bell. It might have even been an episode of twilight zone. I wish I had more details to give you.

Sorry for sending that link, but its not a malicious link as far as I know, it's just an image from google. And yeah I made the account just to ask this question as it's the only website i found where people ask these type of questions and get decent answers. :)

Maybe Fear Itself? Timeline is off but reminds me of the episode Eater.

Maybe if the elevator is from a specific episode, but it isn't part of the opening credits. That curiosity shoppe was only two stories tall, IIRC.
