00:21 Nile Rodgers looks over at Guy-Manuel de Homem Christo, both man and robot nod in silent agreement that they may have in fact recorded the perfect disco track.

Song is just STUPID good. I can't stop watching this. Apparently this trailer was shown at Coachella friday night and it upstaged some of the live bands playing there.

the thread title scared me. I thought there might be a sequel to Tron:Legacy in the works.

*whew*

I actually enjoyed Legacy, also being a fan of the original. However, I feel like a sequel to Legacy would indeed be a horse head beating.

Meh. Too throwback for my tastes. I liked the last little bit where it seemed like they were actually doing something besides straight ripping turn of the 80s MJ. It's fine enough but they need to be doing more to convince me to not just put on Off the Wall. And if I was out for ass shaking, I'd rather hear Ke$ha even if it's not nearly as "musical".

I do really dig the visual aesthetic a lot.

I made my little joke silly comment before seeing the actual video.

I think I've watched it like a dozen times in the last hour or two...

man, that's good

bomber, it's nuts how good the sound quality is from that guy just filming it off a big screen.

So this morning I'm in line at Tim Hortons (that's how a Canadian pronounces Dunkin Donuts) and was amazed to hear Get Lucky by Daft Punk playing in the coffee shop! I wanted them to crank it, yo.

But as I stood in line tapping my foot to the mad beatz, I couldn't help but wonder if Daft Punk has now become totally mainstream? Tim Horton's plays the local pop-rock radio station which NEVER has good music so I was really surprised (and impressed) to hear Get Lucky. Back in the day of Daft Punk's rise to fame, I don't remember them ever playing on mainstream radio but maybe i'm wrong.

It actually made me a little concerned, in a way, for Daft Punk, for this tune to be lumped in with all that crap. But I guess it's good that they're getting this popular.

I'm pretty sure "Around the World" used to get blasted pretty regularly alongside "Barbie World." (no, Daft Punk did not do "Barbie World" but that was some of the other stuff on the radio at the time.)

This song is going to be HUGE. It's going to be the big hit of the summer, mark my words. You'll hear it everywhere. I think the record is going to be a smash.
