Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)
Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.
The Sword
Anyway, not to long ago The Sword released the video to Night City, my favorite track on Warp Riders. Though I don't think the video is as good as Lawless Lands, still a killer tune. As a whole I think I prefer Gods of the Earth for running and working out to, but Warp Riders is perfect for flying down country roads at night. Great road music.

They are supposed to be doing a couple of shows opening for 3/4ths reunited Kyuss. Hopefully that will turn into a nationwide thing.

The festival in general this year kind of stinks for the Montreal shows. Last 2 were much better.

Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to catch the band live yet. It seems they always pass Spokane by (as do most bands), although they did do an off date with Lamb of God while on the Metallica tour a while back, but I gave it a pass since I'd just seen LoG a couple of times not long before that.

Pat II wrote: These guys will be playing this summer at Heavy MTL and Heavy TO I believe (awesome outdoor 2 day metalfest in the summer). Toronto is having the same festival this year (on the same weekend). I'm probably going to Toronto this year as the Saturday lineup is better over there - Motorhead, Anthrax and Opeth (as oposed to Sunday in Montreal). I'll let you know how these guys perform.
I've seen them a few times (they're from Austin), and even though their music rocks, I've found their shows a bit underwhelming. Well, I shouldn't say that, good music is good music, but there isn't a whole lot of theatrics or stage presence, imho.
Their live show is a lot like the video for How Heavy This Axe. Just standin' and playin'. Don't even seem to acknowledge the crowd much. Anyway, I still go.
(edit. Upon reflection, for a band I dig I'm not giving them much props. "This video isn't as good as that." "This album isn't as good as that." "Their stage show lacks." F it. The Sword rocks. Easily my favorite modern hard rock/metal band. See them and support them when you can.)

Atlanta had a scene but it died off after a couple of good bands broke up. It's picking up again but with more of a doom/trash vibe.
