Groo v Conan

Groo v Conan was created by Mr. White
So, after at least 5 years of sorting out particulars, it looks like Groo v Conan is actually happening this year. Unfortunately, Sergio is dealing with some health issues so later issues of the book will see a delay.

I would guess Groo is the longest running creator owned comic going. Over 30 years with the same four guys doing every issue (Sergio, Mark, Tom, and Stan 'Usagi Yojimbo' Sakai). This is the only comic series I held onto when I gave away my comic collection to students about 10 years ago and I'm glad they still put out the occasional mini-series. It's also one of the last hold-outs of the letters page. Groo actually has a letters page that Mark responds to. Lot's of good jokes there so worth picking up the individual issues even in this era of trades.

Anyway, enough praise on Groo, but wanted to bring up Groo v Conan as it may be of interest to Conan fans.

I've loved Sergio's stuff since I was a little nerd discovering my uncle's MAD Magaines from the 60s. Super stoked this is coming out.

Ordered this one as well. No clue what to expect from it, but I've always had a soft spot for Groo. The cover looks incredibly silly, which is appropriate for such a weird crossover. Let's hope Sergio will recover soon.

I thought this was going to be a Trashdome.

Hope it's better than his Fanboy DC miniseries.

I want my Absolute Groo series of faux leather tomes. I'll settle for a set of Groo Omnibi.
