In case you haven't heard of it, Marvel has a digital comics subscription service with 13,000 comics in it, but you can only view it on your PC. That's changed as it's now out for iOS.

Pretty cool. Despite having the Comixology app, and digital comics being cheaper than print version, I haven't ever bought any. The subscription on costs $60 a year or $10 on a month-per-month basis. That's really good value. There's an option to download 6 issues to read on the go, otherwise you'll need to be connected to the internet. That may be an issue for some people, but I imagine I'd do most of the reading at home, or while on my train commute to work.

That might make comics affordable enough to read.

The library also makes them rather affordable.

Good luck with that internationalist perspective.

Heads up. We don't all live in the fucking USA.

No libraries here bud.

I've been waiting for this since I subscribed last July. So far I really like the app, much better than using the photon browser to read these.

I'm seriously considering subscribing to this. What's keeping me away is that it isn't really Marvel's entire library. There are issues missing within runs, which kind of defeats the whole purpose. Apparently, titles don't just get added, either; they get removed.

I'm a touch annoyed with these guys.

I can login via their website but their app is not reading my username and password correctly because I can't login through it. This kind of negates the usefulness of it. I'm talking to their techy guys who will hopefully sort it out but if not I will want my money back.

I'm not clueless with iOS, but I can't figure out why the app is not working properly for me. Also their comic reader on their website is absolutely awful, I hope its not the same one for the app.

Sorry, I forgot about my upcoming nomination to be the US's UN rep. Also, I thought Stormseeker lived in 'Mericuh. But I guess you're Stormseeker now? I'm just all kinds of confused now.

Ah forget it.

Was going to freak out, but not worth the effort to even respond.

I didn't mean to offend anyone with my comments about using a library. I know this site has an international audience. I know you live in the Mideast where it's hard to come by a lot of comforts and privileges those of us residing in Western nations experience. I've also lived abroad in South America, so I know what a privilege it is to live in the USA. Sometimes it's hard to keep track on here on who's from where, but if you happen to have a good library system nearby, it's a great way to read a ton of comics without even cracking open your wallet.

The response back from Marvel was interesting regarding passwords. Do not use caps in your password/username or, if you do, type them as lower case. You will then be able to log into the app.

Strange but true!!

There are tons of complaints about this app on the app store. Passwords are some of the problems. I can't save ANYTHING to the library so I can't read offline. Others are having constant crash problems. You would think they would get their act together and produce a functional app with decent testing.

The excuse from Marvel about the username/password fiasco was that they didn't test usernames with caps.....WTF!!

That's ridiculous. Hard to believe they wouldn't do some proper testing to make sure everything is OK. I'm sure they'll get it sorted out eventually, but it really sucks for early adopters and can give the service a bad rap.

My wife told me this morning she wants to give me a subscription to this for Father's Day. Is the app/service working any better or is it still a mess?

Its been OK for me although I still cant seem to download to iPad to read offline but this is not really an issue for me as it turns out.

Been reading Ultimate Spiderman from the beginning which is fun. Loads of stuff on the app.
