Deadpool

So after seeing Deadpool, which I liked, I wondered if I would like the comics. Do they have that "adult" feel, or are they written to amuse 12 year olds?

For reference, I enjoy Watchmen, Batman, Spider-Man, Punisher, Conan. I found Judge Dredd to be dumb and didn't care for Doom Patrol because Grant Morrison is a hack.
