What sort of sick person sends a copy of a game in German!
I received my copy of "Giganten der Lüfte" or Airships. Whilst I have never heard of this game before and don't mind the idea of Zepplins as a theme for a game. The game looks, (and the note that came with the game assures me it is) absolutely no fun.
Thank you Satan I will cherish your present and agree to play the game as long as you promise to play a complete game of the one I sent you.

Hey -- he's a cross-dresser, not a trannie.

The Zeppelin game sounds dreadful. I hate balloons of any kind.

Nah that time he was in a Mexican jail for being a drug mule is still too painful for him to discuss.

is the title of a home brew game sent me by satan. He also sent me a very suspect DvD which also looks home made.
Oh no there goes Tokyo comes with a board and a load of chits and is probably slightly better produced than a Victory Point Games game. Having flipped through the rules it seems to be grid and counter war game take on King of Tokyo. Im amazed that Satan put so much effort into it. When i duped someone into playing it, i'll post some sort of review some where.
As for the DvD, it'l give me something to do on Christmas eve

I've put together that game, it's fun and I like it. Instead of Godran, I have several SD Godzillas I use as the piece instead of the chit.

It's Schlotterknie Company, a German board game which seems to be about families falling through the ice on a lake. I don't speak German, but until I learn otherwise I'm going to assume that there is player elimination via drowning and hypothermia. It would be excellent Ameritrash if not for the wooden bits. Also from the personal collection of Sid Sackson!

Also included were American Megafauna from Sierra Madre and Light Speed from Cheapass, as well as a very funny note giving me the reasoning behind the gift.
Thanks,

Airships is actually a passable game. It ends up playing just a bit like To Court the King, but with a bit of interaction. Still pretty much a light Euro, but an ok one.

DukeofChutney: I remember reading about Oh No There goes Tokyo a few years ago, it sounded quite good.

After having an extremely shitty day at work, I come home to a box the size of The Boy. "Oh, yes!" I exclaim. "SECRET SATAN!!! Boy, move the box to the center of the living room."
Noah does as commanded and I get my exacto knife. A few slicings later, and I open the box to find the following:
a VHS tape "Terror of Tiny Town" Midget Western....
Le Boomb! game
Battle Cry by Avalon Hill
A hat full of Pirates of the Spanish Main ships (which my son became enamored with and rightfully confiscated).
A ziploc bag of random Spellfire, Magic, and Star Trek cards.
A handful of DC/Marvel Heroclix.
Boxed set of Marvel Super Heroes Deluxe City Campaign.
Outwit boardgame (I trade it away and it keeps coming back!)
The D&D boardgame with two expansions (Eternal Winter and Forbidden Forest. Says its missing pieces... Eh, big deal!)
A Ralph Bakshi's LOTR puzzle
THE YO QUIERO TACO BELL DOG!! The wife wants me to use the Spanish for dog... But, some how I am not listening... Now she's hitting me, and machine gunning Spanish at me and cackling. Perrito! PERRITO POR FAVOR!!!!
Easy Money boardgame
A Monopoly board... Not the game, just the board... EDIT: My son is smarter than me. He took the board, flipped it face down, and played with the punch out ships on the light blue backdrop. SMACKS FOREHEAD.
and a sealed copy of Forces of Darkness for Dungeon Twister.
If the tacit agreement is that I have given up my immortal soul for these games, then so be it.
Thanks, Secret Satan!
PERRITO!

High Stakes Fast Action at the Track High Stakes Fast Action at the Track which my game playing nephew, his mom and I played right away. What a fucking piece of roll and move, pseudo-betting bullshit. We had to play twice to determine a winner. UGH!
The second game packed as well is Knizia's Formula Motor Racing from GMT. That was fun and I'd rate it better than Ivanhoe.
I'm guessing SS chose a racing theme as I fucking hate Race to the Galaxy. I'd play High Stakes over RftG anyday.
Thanks a taint smelling ballsack Secret Satan!!!!
