Of course Satan wouldn’t spare me a treacherous trick, as I lapsed on the series some time ago and have no clue where all this fits in the greater story line.
This is basically a sequel to the main series and follows the continuing adventures of the current Metabaron (Nameless?).
Yup, that's the one. I think I missed out on the second half of the main series.

I'll start off with the box, waiting for me after I got home from work.

Fortunately, I still had my hard hat, gloves, and safety glasses (from work) with me.
Looks like more evidence that Satan lives in Canada.
Prepared for devilry, I open the box and find...

Looks like a DVD player...
Thanks Satan!
I'll just, um, put it in the closet with the other one.
...TO BE CONTINUED

I would like to quote some Edgar Allen Poe to start off the retelling of the great opening and unboxing;
FOR the most wild, yet most homely narrative which I am about to pen, I neither expect nor solicit belief. Mad indeed would I be to expect it, in a case where my very senses reject their own evidence... My immediate purpose is to place before the world, plainly, succinctly, and without comment, a series of mere household events. In their consequences, these events have terrified -- have tortured -- have destroyed me. Yet I will not attempt to expound them. To me, they have presented little but Horror -- to many they will seem less terrible than barroques.
As I said, I might LIKE to start off with that, but the actual event was far more mundane than would warrant such an introduction. I've kept all of my sanity points, in any case.
Since I've lost my actual camera a short while ago, I had to use my phone. Here's the blurry photographic evidence:

A bunch of games that were packaged in store ads and specials in French. I carefully checked each box to verify they all contained games and not something else, such as fecal matter or crystallized evil.
The box from Hell contained therein:
-San Juan (a.k.a. the universal unit of currency in the BGG marketplace)
-High Society
-Gold Digger
-Ivanhoe
-Jambo
-Quiddler (still in SHRINK! SCORE!)
-Tichu
-Micro Mutants: Evolution
-Light Speed (a small space combat game that uses cards)
I have never played most of these. Thanks a bunch Satan! This SS thing was a lot of fun!

Got my package of evil today. I'll update later with photographic evidence. The horror!
Update...
Satan clearly needed all the extra time in order to load the box with so many damn packing peanuts. While he was at it, he threw in the following:
The Newlywed Game - I am engaged... I guess he used his powers to divine that.
Force Ball - some sort of futuristic gladiatorial sporting card game
Magic - black deck, probably from a GenCon promo.
A singing Cow that poops candy. - wonderful
A pile of various bits - most of which are from some war game involving tanks
Crimson Skies miniatures game - not sure how much of this I have.. no rules.
Hungry Hungry Hippos - minus marbles of course
Anno 1503 - brand new, in shrink. When the "best" thing in the box is a Euro, you have definitely incurred the wrath of Old Scratch.
Look upon these gifts well... perhaps some of them will visit one of you next year....
