I hope that one day in the future when I'm a captive in a nursing home that I escape with a buddy to attend a Heavy Metal Concert too!

They weren't "elderly," but in their late 50s. And they didn't escape from a nursing home, they escaped from a mental health facility.

Still kind of a good story. All the more reason to make it come true when I actually get to a nursing home.

I agree. The real story is even better! Also from the NPR article: They "seemed disoriented and apathetic." Do you know how many people that I encounter who fit this same description? This is the new normal. LOL.
