My moderator hat is on right now. I just answered CranBerries about this in another thread so I want to put it on blast to everyone. There are ongoing discussions about forum moderation and changes we'd like to make about forum moderation amongst the staff and also to a certain extent among the regular front page authors. So if there is silence on the issue or if things are happening in the forums that aren't well explained, that is because we are in an interim period while these things are hashed out.
I will delete this post and you will know as soon as new moderation policies are in place, we do not want to drag this out forever. I'm asking for your grace in terms of this time period with respect to our relative silence.
