Happy Father’s Day to All Our TWBG Dads

Got back from Origins, the kids left for camp, and I slept. Glorious.

Went out with the family for breakfast. Unfortunately, my daughter had to work this afternoon. Taking it about as easy as I can, though.

My parents are visiting from the US, so we went out to eat. We also played Magical Athlete in the afternoon, per my son's request.

Made a bid on a HOUSE, that was fun. Got some Chinese food (an undertaking for us—the closest is 45 min away), and enjoying a concert in the local park by a remarkably good Fleetwood Mac cover band

My daughter and wife left for her parents' house for school holiday last night. Freedom!

It wasn't not father's day here (australia). I have no idea why. I think mother's day is the same date.

Not that we make a big deal of either in our joint.

Started the day with handmade gifts - my daughter made me a paint pot out of clay and my son made a Gaslands car with “Dad01” painted on the sides.

Later on we were on our way to a barbecue with some family friends when the host called to say she had fractured some bones in her foot in an accident so it was cancelled. Instead we stopped off at our favourite patisserie for some treats then went home and played Root and Rebellion (wonderfully their requests, not mine). My kids were upset about missing out on the barbecue so I made them burgers for dinner.

I feel like I’m doing this dad thing alright.

Played Root, my request, Sorry Sliders, son's request. Both were fun.

Twenty year old sons aren't that good at remembering Fathers Day (neither am I to be honest), we actually were racing around getting a birthday parcel sent to his maternal grandfather so that probably distracted us.

I celebrated by getting slaughtered in Legendary Encounters: X-Files, Eldritch Horror (twice) and a 2nd equal in a three-player game of Loveletter: Batman with my FATie-centric gaming group. So just a normal day ...

UPDATE: May have given the lad some bad press, had a text saying he had something for me he forgot to give to me in the weekend.
