I know you guys are all super-connected folks. I know you know everyone in and out of the gaming industry, and it's now time to come to the rescue of one of our own.

I have a very close friend who was laid off from Hasbro in their Massachussetts facility. He's one of the most kind, caring, compassionate and wonderful people I've ever been blessed to know. He is also an amazing game designer, who worked on some of the most popular games out there from Hasbro in the "hobby gaming" market, without giving up too much and identifying him personally.

So, that being said, he needs some work.

If anyone at all knows of any game companies that are looking for a solid performer with a track record of success and innovation, please drop me a line so I can get him in touch with them. He's too humble to ask himself, so I'm taking upon myself to ask for him.

Seriously, I would forever be in your debt.

Oh man, that totally sucks. I hope your friend finds work soon.

Only have a connection or two in the _video_ game industry. Not sure if that'd transfer. Don't personally know anyone making boardgames.

Hope he lands on his feet!

Wow. I wonder if Rhode Island gave them some sort of incentive or whether this was more of a RIF thing - sounds like the latter. I didn't realize they had offices in Western MA - I thought it was all over by RI.

Was Rob Daveau let go?

RI did indeed give them incentives.

RI must have a thing for game companies. First Schillings outfit, now this.

Sounds fun..except you have to live in Minnesota. And it makes a teacher's salary seem exorbitant.

I heard that teachers in Minnesota make so much money that most of them eat every day. #someonethinkofthechildren

Fuckin A, I could just teach and then self publish a few games a year with no expectation of making any of that money back and still come out ahead.

That's surprising, 'cos they had "Unicorn and Raibows!!!" in their annual shareholders report...
