lol, yeah as soon as Emily was born some FATtie here (I can't remember who) told me that the nursing pillow is GREAT when playing a video game while the baby sleeps on you. I used that for a full month, it was great.
What Uba said about a mother's bond is very true. I watch how my daughters interact around her. But now that my oldest is 3 and her little sister is 3 months, I get to be the new favorite parent. My oldest wants me to hold her all the time, take her to go out and play, read her a bed time story, etc. My wife often grumbles because Daddy gets to be the fun parent.
I can also see how my youngest has a much stronger bond with her mother. My wife can soothe the youngest faster than anyone else. She knows the right way to hold her, the right things to say to her, the right everything. I'm a little envious (and so is big sister), but I'm getting the chance to build a strong bond with my other daughter.
Regardless, I got Bohnanza and a big fat steak for Father's day.
Oh right - I got a sweet coffee mug with pics of me and daughter, plus tickets to see Les Mis! My wife's and my favorite play but we've never seen it together so that'll be awesome.
And then she made eggplant parm & meatballs.... OMJESUS. SO GOOD. I am literally looking forward to leftovers tonight more than anything else, and have been since I woke up today.
