Opinions wanted on Site Features/Tools was created by ubarose
Do you find any of the below useful? Do you consider any of them essential? Do you use them frequently or only occasionally? If they went away, would you notice? Would you miss them?
1. The "Click here to see what is happening on the Fort" panel on the top left of the site.
2. The scroller at the top of Trash Talk displaying the latest articles/news and blogs.
3. The Back Page
4. The Menus on the bottom of the site
5. The Site Map
ETA: Most of these features were added at the request of members who were either using obsolete hardware or browsers, or by members who were so accustomed to BGG and/or BGN that they had trouble adapting to an alternate way of presenting what was on a site. So for example, the Back Page is the same as the Front Page, but laid out like a blog site (like BGN). The Comments page (bottom menu) presents the site's comments on Articles in a more forum-like manner (like BGG). There is an a static login in the bottom menu for people whose obsolete browsers couldn't handle the popup login at the top of the page.

I like #2. My bookmark to this site is the
forum main page
so I don't see the articles in any other way. But to be honest, I only click on an article once in a great while. So if it went away, it wouldn't really bother me.

I like the scroller, because it lets me know if I've missed something. I'll use the link but its real usefulness is the announcement.

I've never used this (or really noticed it) and wouldn't notice if it was removed.

I look at this frequently and sometimes follow the links. I'd miss this if it was removed.

Never used it. I wouldn't miss this if it was removed.

Never used them (or really noticed them). I wouldn't miss them if they were removed.

I don't think I've ever used this and wouldn't miss it if it were removed.

I use the scroller sometimes, mostly by noticing an interesting blog I hadn't seen otherwise.
The others, not so much.
I wouldn't miss the scroller, I just happen to use it because I don't always look in the blogs box and rarely look at the main blogs page.

There seems to be a lot of repetition in these menues (numbers 1 and 3 seem to display the same thing), so it's a good idea to streamline it and sort out the duplications.
What about the Profile Page? What is a F:AT friend? Can you sort and search F:AT members?

I find it very hard to search for things like:

Actually I find it pretty hard to search for anything effectively. Certainly, this is something to do with me being a dick but all the same....
