Seems like a fix would be to deputize more reliable Fatties and give them the power of delete topic. Said power could be rescinded if abused?

Even just being able to block that one user would be useful, I tried and couldn't find a way to do it. Never even considered that function before.

I'd be okay serving as an emergency backup for this kind of thing. Stormseeker would probably be more proactive about it and might be interested.

I'd be happy to do it as well. I don't do weekends though.
I don't know if this is related but I've been clicking on some of the spam links and buying some of those pharamceuticals on special. I hope that isn't related.
edit: I hope it's not just a thing that allows deleting of individual posts. Spammers are always new users so hopefully you can just delete and/or block the user and it removes all their posts and threads? Otherwise the same user just keeps auto-spamming.

I can be a emergency spam moderator too if it's needed. I leave for trips and stuff but if I'm at home I generally check several times a day.

One option might be to require forum members to have an avatar in order to post. That extra step should make mass spamming much more difficult and if some idiot wants to take the time to upload a new avatar every time they want to post spam, it should give the mods enough time to deal with them without being drowned by this inane logorrhea. I'll miss all Black Barney's reports on his excursions into the dark internet for sex supplies.
