Good name, good idea, great decision.

I do films and videogames (mostly Blizzard stuff) these days, so I'm still onboard in that respect. Maybe Barney and I could do a semi-regular "contrary opinions" piece if we find movies that we don't agree on entirely (or at all.) If I get back to playing block wargame stuff regularly, I've had a couple vague comparison/long form philosophy things buzzing around in the back of my head, too, so there's hope for board games yet.

Back in the '90s, a hard rock radio station got bought out on a Friday and switched to a modern rock format the following Monday. During the transition weekend, they played this song continuously except for mandatory station identification breaks:

The forums will continue to be a hangout spot for all of us, and we expect to even have a closed-to-the-public area for legacy F:ATties so that we can maintain our close relationships in a private community.

I'm totally in agreement with written reviews - I never listen to podcasts as I want to decide what bits I want to read rather than have to listen through something that may not even contain anything of interest, plus I find that when people take the time to compose and write something down more thought and ideas seem to make it out.

And this place talks about so many varied gaming systems and tastes these days, but in small and sparse amounts, that it is a perfect fit to bring your professional writing team over to inflame all those different little corners here.

Here’s how it is: I’m down. I’ll write for free, in perpetuity, until I’m handed my hat and am shown the door. The first advert for the new site will be for SEAL Team Flix, unless someone beats me to it.

I encourage someone with skill to develop some F:AT regalia, and I also believe that anyone who has appreciated THIS site should donate to the Fort as a thank you. In return, a laminated, official F:ATtie card should be mailed to the person who donated. I have a laminator and I would be happy to print, laminate and mail these in bulk to Shellie for distribution to all of us who loved the Fort as a home away from home on the web.

Support the Fort. And support the new site, because it’s just the inevitable evolution of the Fort.
