I'm experiencing brief outages, and that's understandable given the site transition. Frankly I'm surprised the World Wide Web works as well as it does for any site.
Just had one a few minutes ago, likely see it about five times a week.
When the site comes back there are responses to threads that appear to indicate that other people still had connectivity. Likely not an issue, but I wanted to let you know in case you weren't aware of the interruptions. Would be odd if some people are offline but not others, might indicate a DNS issue. Other sites load normally during the outages, I'm coming in on a rock-solid T-Mobile connection.
Huh. That is odd. I would expect that if the problem was on our side, everyone would get a. Injection issue. If it was on your end you wouldn’t be able to connect to other sites. What message are you getting.is it like server not responding?
I checked the logs. Look like we were doing battle with a Spam bot this morning (we won) while google was crawling the site (also a win). I am going to keep an eye on the situation. If bots and spiders are what is causing the problem, it should calm down In a few weeks as google has less to index, and spam bots take this URLoff their list. In the meantime I will try to confine the more resource hogging processes of getting the site up to snuff to the evening hours when fewer of you are on the site.
This is still happening to me (right now, for instance). It only seems to happen after I visit the forum and open some threads, then it stops responding. I tried using my phone to access the site on WiFi (same network as my wired desktop) and it did not work. I switched to LTE and it works just fine.
This happens to me pretty much every time I visit the forum, which is a few times a day. For me it seems like if I open too many tabs (I open each thread with new replies in it’s own tab), or spend too much time on the site, it will start timing out. It’s gotten to the point where I will open all the threads with new replies and then open a new tab if a thread goes to a next page because most likely by the time I reach the bottom of the page after reading posts, it wont let me go to the next page.
I've been getting periodic time-outs too. It didn't seem to be internet connection specific. Now I'm thinking it was because I was opening multiple tabs.
I tweak some settings which I hope will help. How many tabs you have open should have no impact, unless you are running out of memory. Are you getting an actual time out message, or can not connect to server message. Or a blank page. Or a partial page load?

IIRC, I was getting the "cannot connect" message. No blank page or partial loads. I'll edit this with the actual error message if it happens again.
