How do you view PM's?

At the very, very top of the screen, there is a button with your name on it. Click on it. A box pops up. It includes a notification telling you if you have any messages. Click on that notification. It will take you to a new screen. Scroll down. There are your messages (I just moved messages to the front of people's profiles, since I guess folks were having trouble finding them).

We used to have a pop-up notification that when you got new messages. But people asked that it be removed because they found it annoying, folks that had pop-up blockers then had issues with the site. I got tired of explaining that they could turn it off in their PM settings. By the way, you can also change your PM settings so that you get an email when someone sends you a PM. But then you also have to make sure your email in your account is current, and that emails from the site aren't going to spam.

Only for about 3 years. Although it was located on the right side below the social media buttons for part of that time. So maybe you couldn’t find it after I moved it.

ETA: Also, how much time do you spend checking your PMs on mobile? You must be way more popular than I am.

Also, I'm wrong. The button has only been on the mobile site since we re-did it in May.

I'm hoping to do a big mobile upgrade in December, so when that happens I'll see if I can make the PM notification even more obvious on the mobile site.
