As part of our upgrade, the database needs to be cleaned up.
On December 22nd (or there abouts) all PMs over 90 days old will be deleted. Going forward after that, PMs over 90 days old will be deleted on a regular basis. You can archive PMs to prevent them from being deleted, however there is an archive limit.
Additionally, when we upgrade, there is always the risk that data may be lost. So there is a chance you will lose PMs, despite archiving them. So if you have any thing that you would be distressed of you lost, you should take a copy of the information.

Nope. Archive is one at a time. I got over 600 messages to trash or archive. I'm just letting it all go.

Jeez, I have 130 PMs, going back to a decade ago. My first one was from Thaadd, back when she still lived in the Twin Cities.

This might be useful to only a few folks here but I wrote a quick Python script to archive all of my PMs on site and into a text file on my computer. I only had a few PMs so I wasn't worried about triggering the IP bans ubarose has set up but if you have tons of messages then that's something to be aware of and you may want to consider adding some rate limiting to the script before running it yourself.
