Is this still a thing? I just spent ten minutes trying to upload stuff with no luck on Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.

Fixing the image uploader requires time, money and motivation. Essentially, the entire forum template needs to be ripped out, replaced, and redesigned.
The site is running deep in the red, so no money.
My time is in short supply and my motivation is in a pit in the wilderness due to some personal stuff (like my parents are seriously ill, which sucks up a lot of my emotional and cognitive energy; covid; general existential dread; etc.).
Sorry. Maybe if I get an influx of money, a week without a crisis, the house cleaned, and several good night's sleep, the broken image uploader will rise up to the top of the priority list.
The site is running deep in the red, so no money.

No no no Uba. None of that is worth your time/energy/well-being.
This forum can, and has, run perfectly fine w/out uploads for a while.
I was asking cause I thought I was having a tech meltdown on my end.
Carry on, and roll a natural 20.

How deep in the red? I would be willing to contribute to keep the site going, regardless of the future of uploading pictures. I don't post often but I read content daily.
(I remember donating years ago but I doubt my 10-15 dollars or whatever it was is still covering anything by now)

We run about $20 - $40 short each month.
We have our annual server bill coming due in July, and we look to be about $433 short.
Fixing the forum would cost about another $120.
Folks who use the site regularly and feel it is important to them might want to consider signing up for $1 - $5 contribution monthly. You can do that via the donation button at the bottom of the forum. You barely notice it and it keeps the site running.
Of course, single contributions are always welcome.
And you can also buy a banner ad. For $10 you could declare yourself the awesomeness for a month.
