What happened to the "electronic gaming" forum?

It seems to have disappeared or something.

What el*ctr*n*c gaming forum? We never had an el*ctr*n*c gaming forum. People may have mentioned them occassionally in the catchall, however, FAT does not promote or support el*ctr*n*c g*m*s.
FAT is a Hobby site which provides information on sedentary leisure activities in the form of articles.

Have you ever noticed that Gameshark is classified as a Game site, while BBG and BGN are classified as Hobby sites.

Nothing to see here. Please move on.

Trust me...with this mysterious disappearance, THE POWER IS BACK ON, BABY~!

Notice I've been elusive on here for about a month+?

Hmm...that strangely coincides with us getting classified as a 'el*ctron*c g*ming s*te'.

Suddenly, I am no longer absent, and we are classified as a "hobby site".

Ah, the politics of the internet.

But...

THE POWER IS BACK, BABY~!

And all was right with the world.

Some of us have more than one flavor of hobby.

I for one, miss it. :(

You guys are free to talk about that stuff in "Catch All/Off-Topic" though we do not officially endorse it.

I'll see you there.

Meh. I will likely just not bother. I guess I have other forums for that sort of thing, but a little cross pollination (IMHO) never hurt anyone.

Fortress: Ameritrash Boardgames, I guess, not just Fortress: Ameritrash. :(

We actually ran it just to ferret out who the traitors to the hobby were/are. I posted a few times in there to make it seem "hip" and "with it".

Now we have a list compiled and we are conducting a review of the parties involved to determine their fidelity to the board gaming hobby.

I would strongly recommend that those of you with online gaming accounts cancel them immediately.

It's not a change we wanted to have, but we were getting nuked by web blocking software of all kinds just because of that forum. We had to trim it out and Uba pretty much asked them to re-evaluate us as a "hobby" site. It worked.

You're lucky, Thaadd, you work at a gaming company and hence they're a little more lenient. But if we didn't get this fixed soon, it was really working towards the detriment of our site.

Did you move the articles of the disappeared forum to somewhere else?

I think Uba just unpublished them. It's likely we could move them to Catchall and the conversation could carry on, just under a different banner. So long as we say, "Whoa, that's OT", I think we're okay.

Ah. That makes a bit more sense. I thought it was just deemed not consisting of enough cardboard components...

Nope, for over a month now I have been completely unable to access the site from work, and my time at home is very limited. Uba was in the same boat, and she's our big gun site admin. That was starting to spell trouble. It was Uba's quick thinking that got us out of the jam.

Can we change the forum name to something that wont be blackbanned?
Like "beep beep" games or something?

OK, that makes sense. This is actually good news, since websense has always blocked F:AT for me, but not BGG. I just didn't go here during my work terms.

At one of my offices, websense blocks this site at the other it doesn't. I can read BGG at work. Well, we know which is the real game site, don't we? I mean what better judge than a bunch of arbitrary fascists with sand in their crotches?
