"Right now we having an IE6 conflict with the server which I need to work out. Right now people using IE6 can't access the site (AGAIN!). It doesn't help posting that information here, since people who can't access the site can't see this post. I can't fix the problem right now, because I can't get into the backend of the system because of a connectivity issue. BLLAHHH."
Ahhhh, the bliss of being a Safari user...
Thanks for the search explanation, maybe you could have "Search Articles" as the text for the top left one for extra clarity.

That's a good idea.

I think the absolutely necessary updates (dealing with the finicky drop-down information, flashing profile cards ... ugh... and making sure the articles are no longer cut off on the right side) all more than make up for any problems with the somewhat star wars-y colour-scheme.
That's just the short list. A bunch of other annoying stuff that was browser/system/resolution dependent has been fixed.

The one thing I loved (though it may be fading in my memory) was the "first draft" attempt of a website by Juniper, I believe. The artwork at the top just screamed Ameritrash! Not sure if it would match with this color scheme--but it was great, in my opinion.

I don't know if I ever said anything about it, but the previous color scheme really grew on me... it was very distinctive, legible, and vaguely evocative of wargames somehow.
Thanks. We were trying to give that war game feel. I think the green was Michael's suggestion.

I would like to rotate the image at the top of the page to create different themes. I liked that picture too, and think we could use it in the future.

I am sorry for calling you a dick. It sounds like you were impacted by yesterday's problem with the server preventing you from reading one of the files. The site would have looked like a joke.
