We turned off e-mail notification on the comments. No one should be getting any more e-mails when new comments are posted in the comments area of the article section of the site. If you do get an email after this point in time (Monday 12:00 noon Eastern time), please post here, not in the comments section.
We also spoke to the comment app programmer. My French is rustly, but I think he said something about antimatter and inverting the phase. Bottom line is that we have to wait for a new version of the app to get additional functionality with regards our comment section, such as member control over turning on and off notification, editing their own comments etc.
We have looked at other comment apps, but none of them have all the additional functionality we want, and would require sacrificing avatar display. Therefore, we are just going to wait for the next version of this app. Until then, as Rob said, "This is Sparta."
