Introduction

Oh England, model to thy inward greatness, like little body with a mighty heart. - HV.II.Cho

Warriors of God (WofG) is the latest in the IGS (or International Gamers Series) being developed for USA production by Multiman Publishing. Adam Starkweather, designer of BGG's current #1 wargame, The Devil's Cauldron, is developing a series of Japanese wargames to english for MMP under the title of IGS. This series of games has produced a lot of hits so far, especially with light wargamers and the euro/AT/wargamer crossover crowd. Some examples are A Victory Lost, Fire in the Sky, and Red Star Rising.

Warriors of God is due for reprint this year, so I wanted to tap what I consider the best review written for the game when it was released back in 2008.

The game hasn't changed one iota in the reprint, in fact some of the materials are left over from the original two runs. So what you see here is still right on the money even if the image links no longer work. Well worth your time to have a look if you care to venture into the lighter, more euroesque end of wargaming.

Great review. I can't wait for the reprint. I'd love to get a PBEM game of this going on Vassal too.

The Add-to-Cart button has gone hot on Warriors of God's web site entry -- www.multimanpublishing.com/Products/tabi...uctID/7/Default.aspx

Word on the street is that a spare sheet was sneaked in on another game's print, indicating that this is likely a small run using up remaining components. If you want it, I wouldn't wait.

Definitely one of my top 5 favorite 2 player games, and on the shortlist of "Games I'm never Getting Rid Of".

Sold my copy back in September or $50 and have been regretting it.
