Yeah, definitely read the book Going Clear. The HBO show is a solid intro, but if you're left wanting real research and insight, there is a shitload in the book that doesn't make it into the show. Really the meat of it.

I didn't jump on it when it was funding through Indiegogo, so I'm now impatiently waiting for the Doomrock 2nd ed + expansion Kickstarter to launch. Looks like my kind of game.

Glad you enjoying Bloodborne Michael! I think I'm getting close to the end, but who knows. Constantly blown away by the level design, and while I don't like a few of the boss fights in terms of combat enjoyment, they have all being incredibly designed. This game is just such a mystery, and I can't wait to continue exploring the game on ng+.

By the way, how did you like the season finale of StarWars Rebels?

Yeah, Jack Parsons was totally out there. He met Ray Bradbury and AE Van Vogt at one stage. There is a claim that Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land was influenced by Parsons. His biography, which is quite good, is called Sex and Rockets.

"In other news, my son has learned to talk trash. We were playing Micro Monsters last night and he said “I’m sorry daddy, you just aren’t going to win any games tonight.”

Dang, this almost made me cry. My kids are all at the age where they stare at their laptops and tablets and won't play games as much. Aaaand now I'm an old person.
