Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.
Trashfest NE 2015 Wrap Up
So Trashfest Northeast 2015 has come and gone. This is my second time experiencing this annual shindig and I’d like to share some of my experiences with the rest of you. Rather than give you a blow by blow description of all the games I played, I’m just going to provide some overall highlights. I’d like to try and give you an idea of what it’s like to experience Trashfest.

I think it's that we all "know" one another, more or less, either from years of posts or from actually knowing one another from previous meetings. There's no awkwardness, no posturing. Just friends partying, no more, no less. I think that shared friendship makes more a difference than anything. If you put 20 randos in a room with a shelf of games, it's not going to be as much fun as putting 20 F:ATties in a room with the same shelf of games.

We are up to about 40 on Saturday. Thursday, Friday and Sunday we have a smaller crowd. It works well. That small core group that is here on Thursday evening and Friday during the day for our "pre-con" is able to gel, and then by Saturday they disperse and act kind of like hosts, incorporating new arrivals into their games, rather than being cliquey. We really focus on making people feel welcome and creating community. It feels cozy, even though the group is growing.

Hey, I have a few pictures that I wanted to post with this article, but I didn't want to post them without people's consent. Anyone care if I add a few pics? Just PM me if you don't.

I am real though. I've met Peter Putnam, Matt Loter, and Will Dere. I keep telling Barnes not to be a psycho and let me know when he's in Orange County. You folks are all awesome. This place has been my home on the web for years. I even list is as my URL on job apps.*
Glad to hear about all this fun. Great writeup Egg Shen. And honestly: congrats on a solo win with that crowd. Something to crow over.
*At least, I did for Blizzard.

Am I allowed to be jealous or is that petty?
Heh...certainly not trying to make anyone jealous. However if my article entices some F:ATies to make the trek next year I would be happy!
Also, I thought of another favorite moment:
Best conversation I randomly stumbled into : Repoman going off on a tangent about the restaurant Cracker Barrel and how he doesn't want to buy any of the kitschy shit they have for sale. I missed anything before and after this tirade...but it made me laugh.
Repo...screw Cracker Barrel and Waffle House, when are we gonna hit up Shady Glen?
