City of Chaos reprint coming

I know nothing about this game other than I've heard it spoken of in reverence around here.

Wouldn't have guessed Ares, interesting. It's been rumored on BGG for awhile the designer was working on a new version. I've never played this one but really want to try it.

Twenty-some years ago, a local game shop had a copy of City of Chaos on the shelf. From time to time, for at least two years, I would pick it up and look it over, then put it back. I liked the idea of the game, which appeared to be a cross between Tales of the Arabian Nights and maybe first edition Arkham Horror (1988). But the cover artwork was unpleasant, and the components on display on the back cover were not enticing. From what I've read since then, it sounds like a game that I might want to play once, and then never again. I would be more interested in new version than a straight reprint.

I'll be interested to see what they do with this. I enjoy the original, so am hopeful that the reprint will mostly streamline processes and not change too much of the "meat" of the game.

I want a piece of software that will let me create my own Tales of the Arabian Knights, only with a different theme, piece by piece, and then spit out a printable, playable game. Just thought I'd take us off topic.
