Rulebook recommends 4' x 4' and mentions 3' by 3' as a minimum.

Someone on BGG put together a really great teambuilder file. This thing is awesome. We could even share teams or post stuff to try out.

Just bought a copy - found one for less than £8 delivered, which was too silly to pass up. Might never get it played, but games like this are often fun just reading the rules.
