I think it's cool that it plays to hardcore X-Files fans. I like to see attention to detail.

Unfortunately, it came off as more of a list of characters who appeared in the show instead of attention to detail. Like a keyword list from a Wikipedia page. Maybe it's just the nature of the game, since It needs persons, places, and things.

I had fun playing this at a Con recently. Definitely had one of those "moments" that will keep me smiling inside for a long while.

It didn't involve the cards "Drinking establishment" "board game convention" and "punching a Nazi", did it?
