I played this with my mother. THAT'S how accessible it is.

Completely agree that this game is very special.

Anyone who says it isn't a game is an ass.

We played it six player once and made it through the self-imposed victory at level 6, and it was glorious.

The first thing my wife said to me after the first time I played it with her was "Why don't you design games like this?" And she was right and I was sad.

If you want to hear two people blather on for an hour about some of the design subtleties here, check us out at ludology.libsyn.com/ludology-episode-183-mind-your-own-business

This game is incredible and fun. And amazing in its simplicity.

This sounds like a great game. I will keep my eyes open for it in the shops around Manila, it sounds like the kind of thing that might make it out this far.

You can make a copy in about half an hour.

A buddy brought this to game night the last time I was at a game night (June maybe? Sigh) but I didn't recall it being an official copy or it being named The Mind. Seem to recall Slide 5 cards being pressed into service. But this sure was it and you're right, it's a really interesting play. Wonder if it's got legs.

All you need is two decks of standard playing cards and a Sharpie and you can play The Mind. It is just cards 1-100 and a few extras to track lives, levels, and stars. All of that can be done on a phone notepad, dice, or a piece of paper.

I actually don’t have a copy of the “real” game. I bought the new version of The Game at Target (also from Pandasaurus, so I’m not ripping them off!) and that’s what we use.
I like the colorful artwork more. I would have bought The Mind over it anyway, but it was out of stock everywhere near me and on Amazon.

The Game is pretty good too...but The Mind sort of blew it out of the water.

This is exactly what I did.
