All the dakka, none of the plastic.

They're definitely leaning into the miniatures product line thing, which I think makes some sense theoretically since they're going 40k.

Final question, did your printing quality look ok? I guess this company is on its last legs financially and there was a little talk on BGG about how dark printing was: www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/2088637/dark-printing

Everything looks fine to me...it didn’t even cross my mind that it was too dark or muddy.
I’ve heard varying accounts of Devil Pig’s pending demise...apparently there is a Heroes of Eagle Gate box coming later this year- that’s Imperial Fists versus Word Bearers. And they say there are plans for more but who knows. HOBR is put out by iEllo here in the US, maybe they’ll buy them out or something.

I'm pleased someone has brought this up, I've always felt bad for people who see the cartoony box art and think "Yeah, a quick-playing intro game!" and then have to read multiple awful rulebooks and memorize 30,000 different icons and corner-case rules exceptions.Michael Barnes wrote: Because of some rather shaky rules writing, enough icons to fill a book of rebuses, and a ton of detail compressed into multiple micro-systems, it's one of those designs where you wind up nose-deep in the rulebook for most of the game and when it ends you face a number of lingering questions - including "did we really play that right?" And then there are the mountains of recruitment options, support tiles, terrain overlays, expansion content, scenarios, and other content to contend with once you have what you think is a decent grasp on how to play.
And also: It's ironic that Devil Pig deciding to make this game is playing a big part in possibly driving them out of business. But supposedly the "Heroes Of" systems are safe for now, they have sold off or shuttered their other games though.
