Oh my god FINE. I'll TRY short Yugioh. Twist my arm why don't you?

What's the deal with the skill cards by the way? Looks like they're mostly one-shot powers. How are those performing?

They do a couple of different things- some are on the field from the start and give certain types of monsters a buff or debuff- which can be really useful to push out some early damage or to get a stronger defensive position on the first turn. Others are revealed as they are used, and may have effects like allowing you to search your deck for a card or to do a specia summon. These may trigger for example if you have less than half your life.

They aren’t especially balanced, but all of them are useful.

I played Yu-Gi-Oh about a dozen plus years ago with my lad when he was a yungsta and it was a fun and clever game back then with lots of combos and tactics to follow.
I only found Runebound last year after reading some reviews here of 2nd edition and picked up a bundle for a good price. Since then my group of four have put in about 10 plays and we think it's great, not too sure if any of us would like the pog mechanic in 3E as we're all aggro dice chuckers.
