Evil Queen is a blast, because you're playing a game within a game. You have to collect enough Power for your poison and then be conscious of how much you're spending to get rid of heroes before you find Snow White. Plus, you use the Magic Mirror to find Snow White, which you need to do to win the game. It's hilarious how on target they were in both telling the stories of the films and answering some of the criticisms about villains from the base games needing specific cards. Plus, the interesting effects you get from ingredients for the Queen make her better than just "stockpile these otherwise useless cards" situations you often find in other games of this type.

Villainous only needs the Glenlivet expansion to be great with friends. The Core expansion is perfect for those of us who have played Villainous a dozen times but don't drink a lot of whiskey.
