This is one of those games that's great fun, but really demands repeat plays with the same group to get the most out of it, both due to its complexity and the evolving understanding of strategy.
Games like that rarely see the table around here nor, I suspect, do they in many places. Sold my copy and don't regret it.
I get it out very rarely, had a game lined up for WBC til that got cancelled. While I agree that it rewards repeat plays more strongly than other multi player games, if everyone is equally coming in "cold" I think it still plays well. Held onto my copy since its OOP and likely to stay that way. I consider Cthulu Wars to be a dumbed down , much more physically bloated inferior copy of it .
