With the events of the Theatre and its lavish Party behind them,...

This article will look at an individual scenario of Arkham Horror: The Card Game. These will be my impressions after playing through the scenario and will be focusing on the mechanics and how those reinforce the story elements of a given scenario. These articles will contain extensive spoilers and assume a familiarity with the terms and mechanics of the game. Please do not read on if you have not played the scenario in the title yet.

This is probably the weakest scenario of the Carcosa campaign for me. I love the concept of racing against the cultists in finding clues to the King in Yellow, but in practice, it has only not been trivial to win once in all my plays. I should play the Return to... version pretty soon, and I’m excited to see what changes were made to it.

I agree with DarthJoJo. This was also the least memorable of the scenarios.

I've just played the Return to and I don't think it fixes the fundamental problem of the scenario: you either get overwhelmed or it feels a bit cakewalky. It is also egregious for the terrible words on cards that FFG put on the Agenda when they meant something else.
