Leder Games Announces Oath: Chronicles of Empire and Exile by Cole Wehrle

It’s going around Reddit that the price is 90$(plus shipping) vs 110$ MSRP. I know we are in the era of $100 BoardGames, but that feels like a lot of scratch. I may have to wait for retail on this one.

There's only one tier, no exclusives, no FOMO and it goes to retail for sure so it's one you all should feel very comfortable assessing later.

That's a good chunk more money than ROOT. To be honest, I've barely read up on the game because he's pretty much auto buy for me, so anything I read now won't be remembered later. That is getting up there in price for something that likely won't hit the table that much unless it is decent 2P. That price also MAY deter some retail sales; ROOT was a fair bit cheaper IIRC.

Yeah, but Pax Pamir wasn't cheaper and you can't find that anywhere. I found one copy on the shelf at my FLGS and it was $100. Couldn't afford it then. Can't now, either.

I have a feeling given Wehrle’s profile these days it will be in print longer due a larger print run but we’ll see.

Pamir was published by Cole and his brothers company and was specifically a low print run Kickstarter thing, this is being published by Leder Games and sent to retail. Presumably it will be generally available for the foreseeable future like Root and Vast.
