Really solid article, both on game and meta. I'm tempted here, mostly because of my family's arrested state of emotional development, but also because I suspect that continually refining a system will tend to produce a pretty well-honed system. They've had plenty of development iterations here.

And yet...

I'm heavily invested in Sentinels of the Multiverse. And this doesn't seem like it's enough of a slam-dunk that I could justify the opportunity cost of getting it on the table. So I'm waiting, as I tend to do with these LCGs, until a lot more content is released and I can make a more informed decision.

I’ve played a lot of superhero games over the years. I mean, ALOT. They pretty much always suck, or at the very least, are okay to good but have to have excuses made for them.

Marvel Champions does not need any excuses. It’s a really fun game. It comes the closest to the superhero game I’ve always dreamed of just with the inclusion of how alter-egos work.
