I have no problem with light, quick games. I also have no problem with creating a custom team of heroes to challenge, or fight, your friends. But Fight Your Friends ends up missing the mark on light, quick, and customization.

At first glance, it sounds like they took the model from Blue Moon, a non-collectible card game, and turned it into the framework for a CCG. One of the advantages of Blue Moon was that you didn't have to read your opponent's upside down cards. They told you everything that the card was doing for that round: "You cannot play cards with special power text. 3 Fire." and that was all you had to account for. I can kinda see what they were angling for here but I agree that it sounds like they buried what was a simple game under too many numbers. Battle Line, it ain't.

With my recent run of reviews of not- so- stellar games, I figured the only comment I would get on this review was "Are you Okay?"
EDIT: Or something about the AOC card.

My first thoughts about the AOC card were: "Name and image rights? No. Public figure, so... parody? Seems like a stretch. Wonder if they actually talked to her? And why does she have one 1 Magic? Seems low."
