No worries. We don't get much Fortress: America discussion around here, either.

Samurai is my favorite of the Gamemaster series but A&A and FA gets more playing time. FA get played every Prezcon while Red Dawn is played in the background. A&A gets played around D-day or Pearl Harbor. Maybe we need Samurai day to remember what a great game Samurai is.

I'd be totally into it if we could play something like Kurosawa's Ran or Seven Samurai in the background. (In the early 90s, we'd play Supremacy (with all expansions) all day while playing Warlords (the video game) and usually having something atmospherically appropriate also playing in the background. Was gamer/nerd heaven.)

Ah, Supremacy, there is an underrated (or at least mostly forgotten) 80's (?) Gem. Played a crapton of it in high school, negotiations over shooting down a nuke would often last hours and involve good faith ordering of pizza :p

I bought a copy a while back but have not dusted it off to see if it holds up. Not sure if any expansions are in it, though you could practically print n play them.

The Hunt for Red October and Red Storm Rising games were my other 80s go toos. I don't recall if i ever had a physical copy of Harpoon or just played it on PC.
