Sandy Petersen has Changed the Terms of Your Interest-Free Loan to Him

Reading between the lines, Steven Heumann got too much of his information about reality from Fox News, and now he has learned a costly lesson.

That is so wild ass shit with Peterson also talking a bunch of shit recently.

The naivete is astounding.

If there’s one thing the Petersens know how to do, it’s convincing others to give them money and never see anything for it.

So it took Steven Heumann a year to learn:

• It's cheaper to manufacture things in China than the US.
• People get mad when you take their money and give them nothing in return.

Astounding.

I had already read that blog post, and it's almost too wild, like I'm struggling to believe someone could be that naive. FYI, this all surfaced after PG announced (sorta) on their Discord that the relationship with Quimbly's was over:

What Link said about the relationship between Quimbley’s and Petersen Games coming to an end is true (despite Sandy and my diligent effort to keep that plan going). This has happened for a variety of reasons we cannot delve into due to the legal issues surrounding the same. Link is also correct that we are doing all that we can to ensure that the existing inventory of Hyperspace will be shipped out from the factory, though we do not have a timeline on that right now. PG did not relinquish our intellectual property as a part of any deal with Quimbley’s, and we do not expect that there will be any credible claims for the same.

Counsel advised us not to go into the specifics of any actual or potential litigation at the moment, and we will follow that advice. Naturally we would rather fill you all in on what is happening and what we are planning, but doing so would effectively stymie our legal strategy and potentially expose us to (unfounded) claims of defamation.

We will do our best to keep you apprised as these matters progress but there naturally has to be a limit as to what we can disclose due to the legal issues.

Those of you who have been around for a while will know it is very hard for me to keep my mouth shut. So the moment we are able to share anything, we will.

Honestly we had no idea how angry the Petersen Games audience was about having paid for games that never arrived.

I'm sure the next potential investor will be extremely enthusiastic to work with petersen games.

I still have no idea how he gets people to invest in his failed company. Quimbley actually thought they were going to "top the charts" doing this, whatever that meant. Imagine if they'd just started their own KS (hopefully after doing the math, but yeah) instead of starting with a failed KS company's debt and already ruined reputation.

To point some of the blame back to Kickstarter itself, the fact that Petersen managed to fund FIVE undelivered games is fucking insane. If KS had any concern for users at all, you'd have to have Game 1 on the boats before you could run the campaign for Game 2.
