It's interesting to see you don't consider the cultist upgrade to be mandatory for Khorne, to me it's almost unthinkable not to get it. But your reasoning makes sense and I can see what you mean.

Yeah, I might've underplayed that a bit. It's still one of the best upgrades for Khorne, but I've frequently found that taking that big opportunity for just four figures, especially when you're spending so much Power on keeping your Bloodletters in play and moving around, turns out to be less than you'd expect. This especially becomes notable when they're in a region with a god that's been able to buff their Cultists' defense, either via Chaos card or upgrade.
