If you haven't yet watched the 1979 horror film directed...

The Nostromo was returning to Earth with a seven-member crew in stasis. Detecting a transmission from a nearby moon, the ship's computer awakens the crew and they land on the moon. While one part of the crew tracks down the source of the signal, the rest decipher part of the transmission and discover it's a warning - but it's too late! Despite protestations, the returning crew brings with them an Alien: Fate of the Nostromo by Scott Rogers from Ravensburger.

The lack of character elimination (not to be confused with player elimination) is a complete dealbreaker for me. It completely betrays the the license and the theme at a fundamental level. I understand that modern gamers apparently lack the testicular fortitude to deal with a heavy concept like death, but then they should stick to dry, brown games about pleasing the prince.

I played this with my kids and they didn't want to finish. Now my daughter just asked to play again, so clearly it left a positive impression.
