I haven't managed to get a game in yet but I've been painting up a bunch of models (some pictures of which I've uploaded to the criminally inactive BGG page). I absolutely love the miniatures for this game. They're metal (lead, even), which is not normally my preferred mini material, but these are the nicest metal miniatures I've ever come across and they don't require much clean up at all. There's something about them that's very paintable.

It helps that they’re one-piece, which works for fuzzy animals. I really hate glueing metal arms to metal torsos.

Finally got around to priming the minis I bought and got the first one finished. These minis are an absolute delight to paint. Full of character and not overly designed like a lot of the GW stuff. Can’t wait to paint the rest!

That blue and yellow looks slick as hell man.

I may take this up as my next painting project after all my Dragon Rampant/Oathmark stuff...summer time.

Thanks guys! I was home sick today so I painted up another. These things pretty much paint themselves.

Thank you for saying this. It has long bothered me that most GW minis are so cluttered with details. It's like they are cynically designing figures to maximize paint purchases.

Finally got around to posting pictures of my finished warband and some terrain I picked up from Sarissa Precision. Got a handful of games in this last month and it is, hands down, the best skirmish game I’ve played. Simple enough to not need to be in the rule book constantly but with enough crunch and meaningful decisions to keep every game interesting.
