Grasp for as much lifesaving supply as possible to escape...

Summertime fun is dying out at Camp Crystal Lake, where masked and murderous Jason Voorhees is on the hunt for camp counselor blood… and your unlucky day is looming.

I'm a F13th NUT.
This game should be right up my alley.
And yet, I'm not sold.

I'll stay curious, but not "what happens if I shove my decapitated mother's head into this girl's fridge" curious.

Camp Grizzly does an amazing job of simulating the early Friday the 13th movies without actually directly copying the license. I'm skeptical that this Friday the 13th board game will be even half as good. For starters, I didn't see a board or any other kind of map in those components. All my other slasher games (I have five) have at least a rudimentary map to convey a sense of geography.

I too tired and drunk to figure out how to change my painting's orientation.
Besides, it's more upsetting this way.

1. Camp Grizzly - by now, everybody at this site has probably heard about Camp Grizzly. If not, there are a couple of dedicated threads about it.
2. Slasher: The Final Cut - this mid-'90s classic was sold in a video cassette case.
3. Slasher Flick: Revenge of the Boogeyman - only published as an insert to Fantasy Gamer issue #1, from Steve Jackson Games.
4. Psycho Raiders - this one might be a stretch, since slashers normally function alone, and the psycho raiders use a variety of weapons that include a flame thrower.
5. 1 Survives - a recent distributed kickstarter game that I own but haven't tried yet.
Last edit: 25 Mar 2020 14:05 by Shellhead. Reason: video cassette not VCR
