Angola Starting in July

Okay gents looks like the mod has had some improvements made. It's not perfect but I think it'll do. I'll have to prep the opaque cup with the correct markers as well as put the initial forces on the map. As soon as I"m done I'll send out the mod to everyone, probably later today.

KingPut / Schweig get MPLA/FAPLA

Gary Sax and I are UNITA/FNLA

Pick which allied force you want.

I played Angola for the first time at WBC...WOW. This game rocks. Now going into my permanent convention rotation. Play time for us through 8 turns was about 4.5 hours .

That's a pretty fast time considering it's seems to average out at 7+ hours.

I've never played before so I'll screw up some rules, but I'm ready.

Like I said, we only needed to go til the end of turn 8. But we are also fast players. One of the things that held me back in the past was witnessing some marathon games, but I chalk that up to players, not the game. It is definitely a game I'd carefully choose the other players for - AP types can slow it to a fucking crawl. It's like ROBORALLY with Angolans. If someone has a hard time grasping Roborally and preprogrammed moves, they'll struggle with this game.
