Oz, fire up Hoity Toity and I'll join. I've played that game a long time ago and am curious how it plays on spielbyweb.

Hoity Toity is ready to rock!

F:AT Art Lovers is the game name

Reef Encounter is the password (and loop hole for our punishment rules) ;)

Oz has an impressive 0 wins out of 17 games of Hoity Toity. I feel confident that we can beat him!

While we're waiting for doc mabuse and wdgrant to decide whether they can take the heat of another 30 year war, anyone wants to tell me what's your normal strategy in Wally? Do you have one specific strategy that you always try to follow? Or are you changing it depending on your opponents and your countries, for example?

I normally try to play aggressive, i.e. will try to build up troops and attack the following round. 1 or 2 more troops are enough for me to give it a try as I enjoy devastation. I am not a big builder though (unless I have a country that is a bit remote) and if everybody played like me there wouldn't be much to destroy and conquer. So thanks to those of you that keep building palaces and stuff. Much appreciated.

I'm in for another Wally. I can't get there at work, so I'll try to remember to sign up tonight.

Schlupp, what is this strategy you speak of? It sounds like something I am glad to have avoided at all costs.

Strat-e-gy noun \-jē\ [ often also pronounced as stra-ge-dy by non-native English speakers ]: something you think about before hitting buttons at random.

Example: "What is this strategy you speak of?"

The only strategies I have is checking to see if I can Pay-1-Move-Guys and then Attack A or B. I love attacking from the back line in this way. I like to have a "capital," i.e. a province that is surrounded by my own stuff. You can build there with impunity and then follow that first line to attack "from" it. I look for exploit opportunities in Autm action planning to see if I can sneak any building majority bonuses out of my non-capital area. And I attack people that try to mess with my building majority capital area.

Pay-1 then attack is a good one. The same is possible with Move A then Move B, for example. You could even generate a giant army with all three commands. I like the capital idea, but if someone breaks through with a big army he can attack several of your armies. But it's true it's a good idea. Unfortunately it is very difficult to get this kind of safe haven in a 5 player game.

But now enough wit ze talking. It's all out war in Tschörmany!

Also we await Hoity Toity players here .

We have 4 art collectors/thieves in for Hoity Toity. Still 2 slots left for anyone interested!

Password: Reef Encounter (case sensitive)

If you have never played it is a bit of fun!

I will start the game in a day or so regardless.

Hey, wait with starting the Hoity Toity game. I've asked BaSL to join in. You probably had nightmares about him after reading this Geeklist ( The Geeklist of BaSL Looking Amazed ). He's a tough Wally player as well, btw.

Ok, start it, BaSL is too busy shopping and stuff. If we'll play another game next year he's in.

Time to read the rules...
