This is far less common than you imply--there certainly is no top-down dictum from GMT that these kinds of omissions are done. Some designers might request this, but in my experience it's much more common to see everything you'd need in modules for GMT games.

Coincidentally, just saw a GMT designer of all people throw a tantrum on CSW because the VASSAL module was missing some charts for the game he was trying to play ( CONFEDERATE RAILS from ATO). While I appreciate self contained modules, I totally respect those that require ownership of the game.

I can usually play any night of the week after 6pm PDT.

Had a real blast playing John Company. We got through 6 turns in 2 1/2 hours! Good fun, we def would love 4-5 to illuminate some other dynamics.



Any interest in a Wednesday evening game of Pax 2nd or Root?

7pm Pacific is best for me but I can do earlier.

Alright, I created another thread for Pax 2nd edition Wednesday night. Looks like we might have good attendance.

I'd like to do another John Company on this coming Saturday. But I know the crew of Not Sure, Mezike and I, if anyone else is interested, would love to at least get 4 in our next game to do the intro scenario again. So let me know if there's anyone who would like to play, we can teach, and if Saturday late morning/afternoon is not good I can move it around to suit.

After playing Terraforming Mars I have a huge hankering to play Argent: The Consortium. There's a Tabletop Simulator module that looks promising. Any interest in learning or playing that?

I would be interested in Argent. I need a little bit of a crash course on TTS but know argent. I am free most evenings I would just need some lead time.

Ok, sounds good. I'll definitely set a time/date sometime and we can go back and forth on what works with anyone who wants to play.

Only the base game is available on tabletop simulator and it's a little ugly. There's a pay module where the designer gets money on tabletopia so some day I may buy that to try to support the official mod.

Want to schedule a game of root for this week. Any interest? Day is pretty open, probably starting at 7pm pacific but could do slightly earlier or later.

Other than Monday, I’m pretty much free in the evenings.
