Borderlands was created by Matt Thrower
Just discovered there's a Vassal module for this venerable Eon game.

I'd like to give it a try, but I've no idea how PBEM friendly it is. If anyone can enlighten me, or if anyone would be interested in playing in a PBEM game, let me know!

Hey Matt, I played a face to face game back a few months ago. I'd be willing to give it a go online.

*bump*

I'm sure this game works better with more. Any other takers?

I would give it a try. I have the German Ascalion version at home (that's Borderlands with expansions, if I'm correct?), so I'd be able to read the rules at home. But I am not a Vassal expert, really just a newbie. However, I wanted to try Vassal out for some time now (downloaded and installed the programme). If you're willing to go easy on me, technology-wise, I'm in.

If it goes better than TtA then I would be interested to give it a spin .... as long as (give me strength) there aren't too many Vassal dice rolls - Ozjesting owns my soul (and the Vassal dice) currently in our M'44 games so far.

You could always try Lords of Conquest online with CCS64 (a Commodore 64 emulator with Kaillera support)

Also there appears to be a Java applet version , but I'm not sure if it's multiplayer over the internet.

(Whew, that's a lot of URLing...)

Ok, those four interested mail me on matt *underscore* thrower *at* hotmail *dot* com and we'll kick something off.

I'm not sure the love was there for TTA - I think it's an excellent game, but it's certainly a Euro and there's some naysayers in this community. If you cut Borderlands in half, on the otherhand, it'd say "Ameritrash" right the way through.

I've downloaded all the rules and summary docs from TOS - you can get them from here Download

PS I have never played the game so will be reading them all as well.
